Seeing and hearing the debate and decisions regarding women and abortion and the health care bill made me realize that women have got to make FAR MORE IMPACT as women bloggers on women's political blogs, not just women who blog on political blogs.
The first thing I thought of was the fact that I recently started a women's web site Not Spring Chicks Not Spring Chicks
Then a quick Google search and I saw there are many wonderful (often unknown) women's political blogs out there.
While I hope some of you will visit my web site and suggest articles/write articles, it is more important that we up the influence of the sites devoted to isses that are important to women.
Perhaps it is obvious to some of you out there which site(s) is the most prominent.
Let's list them here and make sure that Kos is including these web sites in his rotating links.
I will update my web site anyway to add some of the "best women blog" links that people suggest as well.
Many of us of a certain age fought a lot of battles that happily and unhappily our daughters and their daughters didn't have to fight and therefore don't get.
They can't imagine a time it was even impossible for a married woman to to get her own name on a library card...
Or when girlie calendars were all over the workplace (and you couldn't complain)...
When abortion was illegal...
I personally temporarilly "accept" the fact that the amendment had to be added to the bill last night to get is passed, but I am appalled that this had to happen.
