Please explain this to me. What exactly is the next step for Healthcare? You would be helping a lot of people with this service, and the MSM is not helping at all.
Specifically, I have 5 questions I need answers to. PLEASE help:
OKAY. The House passed it. Now the Senate takes it up. Please answer the following:
- Does the Senate NEED 60 votes for this...or can it be done using Reconciliation (50+1) at this point.
- IF the Senate passes the bill without a public option, can’t it be put back in at conference or is it all over?
- ASSUMING the Senate passes a bill, does it then go to a committee to hammer out a compromise bill between House and Senate?
- FINALLY, does this mean that BOTH THE HOUSE AND SENATE have to vote one more time on the final bill?
- If so, DOES THE FINAL BILL NEED 60 VOTES?
Thank you so much, DKos community.
PS—my representative, Suzanne Kosmas-D, voted against the bill. I am bitter and she is very stupid to think that conservatives are going to rally around her because of that vote—all she did is tick off her base (including me). I want to tell her to vote YES on the final bill...but I have to be sure there is going to be a final bill.
