There are many people far better versed than me to write diaries on the flailing HC bill. See poblano's analysis for what killing this bill would do to the average family in 10 years in the link below.

But does Lieberman's opposition to every liberal policy give us a good chance to mobilize in 2010?
Yes it does.
We have been far too complacent criticizing Obama for what he has not accomplished, but do we really doubt that he is not trying his best?
Do you really believe that if he had liberal votes in the Senate we wouldn't have imparted real change?
Every prognosticator currently bets their house - which might or might not be worth all that much - that we will lose the midterm elections. Our base appears demoralized and ready to eat its own flesh if one reads your diaries. We are forgetting who the enemy is and Lieberman's eagerness to destroy anything liberal riles me up so badly I might go to Connecticut and knock doors myself.
If Lieberman has his way on HC, the blue dogs have their way on fiscal matters, the pro-banking democrats water down the financial regulation bill and the pro-industry democrats kill cap and trade then shouldn't this give us progressives something fundamental to run against in 2010?
Many of you sound delusional. Change doesn't come easy. Do you really think it's Obama's fault that Loserman forgot what he campaigned on in 2000 and publicly agreed to support in his run for the Senate in 2006? Who told you that Obama is the messiah who's going to change it all?
Haven't you had enough eating your own flesh?
Lieberman's day to decide what's best for America is today. He will have his day. We should work to have ours.
