I've been away for a while and have recently popped in to peruse the offerings at Daily Kos.
I am saddened by what has happened to this once great site.
The anger, the bitterness, the flat out lying, the contorted conspiracy theories, the race baiting, the purity tests.
It has become RedState with more vegetables, patchouli and the slightest hint of pot smoke.
Do you remember when this used to be a place of good? Remember when we used to work together? Do you remember? Now we have calls to primary the President, less than a year after taking office. Respected diarist calling him Bush lite. Unfriggin believable. We have voices en mass declaring that since they didn't get their pony they aren't going to vote, or better yet, going to vote for the Republicans. What a shame
Read through the diary lists, and than check out some comments. It really doesn't matter what diary, we have become our own trolls. The goddam Republicans don't even have to log in anymore. We are doing it to ourselves.
Purity. It's bringing the Republicans down, and it's going to do the same damn thing to the Democrats as well.
Remember when we used to pride ourselves on have a "Big Tent"? It appears that we've decided to screw that whole concept and emulate the Republican, "You are either with me or against me attitude".
Get your shit together people.
