No, Barack Obama is not a terrorist. But some of his supporters here have ostensibly been arguing that he is and it is disappointing from what I thought was a more enlightened community.
It's irresponsible for Barack Obama to have anything to do with Bill Ayers. If you're not embarrassed by that, you should be. When that stops, the attacks on Obama stop.

As I read the story steam began to flow from my ears. I could not believe what I was reading, so I went to check the source material. The Atlantic had an item about it and a copy of the document that Barack Obama and Bill Ayers both signed while they were on the board together. Now I was spitting mad. As I read the letter I could only repeat WTF, WTF, WTF over and over again.
There have been many other stories written about what a scumbag Bill Ayers is and why folks are shocked to see a self-proclaimed leader of the progressive movement like Barack Obama make common cause with this despicable little prick. While these comments make part of the case, they just do not dig deep enough.
I can't criticize Barack Obama for being angry and feeling run over by the Republicans, but we need to remember who Bill Ayers is, and proceed with extreme caution. He is a snake through and through.
and now Barack Obama is in open alliance with freaking Bill Ayers.
Wow.
Barack Obama is now completely and totally out in the open with the fact that he is working with a terrorist piece of utter shit like Bill Ayers.
These quotes came from diaries and comments that were posted on Daily Kos in the last few days but they weren't about Obama and Bill Ayers, they were about Jane Hamsher and Grover Norquist but I changed the names.
This is all to demonstrate the hypocrisy of those that denounced the right for trying to smear Obama with guilt by association, yet are now doing exactly the same thing to Jane Hamsher.
This kind of smear was wrong when the right did it and it is equally wrong when anyone else does it, including Kossacks who should know better.
No one - not even Jane Hamsher - is asking you to like Grover Norquist and signing a letter with him seeking accountability, which many of you used to be for when there was a president in the White House with an R next to his name, is not the same as embracing Norquist's ideology.
Everyone making that ridiculous argument should be ashamed.
