I am a citizen first, and a progressive second. I think both political parties have been a corrosive influences on both those interests of late. But the GOP at least has an open invitation to join a technical summit on...Friday the 13th?
So be it. One of my GOP friends just forwarded something to me today for my opinion. (He is a Progressive who loves Teddy Roosevelt and believes he can change the GOP to return to a pro-environmental mission. heh, it takes all kinds right? I wish him luck.0
After spewing some coffee on my screen. I emailed back: "Will the summit explain to all the eager-believer- GOPers that using Twitter and FaceBook to plot the overthrow of government is likely to end up with the plot being discovered? aka Yesterdays VA Leg. sideshow?"
My friend responded: "Doubtful. But I think I will attend and see if there is some movement toward civility?"
So Good Luck with that....below the fold are the details if anyone else here wants to attend.
I will try to get a report posted, should my friend attend, and should he be willing to admit he attended without a bag on his head.
