I do, wholeheartedly. We owe the Afghanis quite a bit at this point, both for our mistakes in this decade and those in the 1980's and 1990's. We've bailed on them once, and put 'em on the backburner the second time.
And I have no love for the Taliban. None whatsoever. Anyone who harbors those who would do as Al Qaeda has done cannot be allowed to govern. I do not support wars of choice or preemption, but I can get behind retribution, perhaps.
I do not support an endless war with victory undefined and unattainable. I do not believe that the Afghan War must be either of those things.
