The Enemy Within
Cartel-related violence has moved well beyond American border towns.
According to a December report by the Justice Department's National Drug Intelligence Center, Mexican drug-trafficking organizations have established a presence in some United States cities, including such remote places as Anchorage, Alaska, and Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Since I live in Sheboygan, this is disappointing to me. So far this year, we've had two killings related to drugs. Back in the late 1990's, Sheboygan was rated one of the best places to live and raise a family. Now, we've got so many gangs that our police deaprtment can't keep up.
I'd like to know President Obama's policy on this Mexican Drug War. I'd also like to get your opinion. What do you think? Is this a problem in your community?
