DK, old friend . . . what can I say? You blew it for me back in the primaries, when you--upon whom I once depended for reality-based commentary--lost your collective mind.
I got here via the old Blog for America. Remember that? Howard Dean was the only voice sticking it to Bush, and when he got laughed off the national stage there was almost no where to go. I was logged on to BfA on New Year's Eve 2003--a good night. The last one I would have for a long while.
It was sad to see you turn into a left version of the freepers. It was sad to see the rec list full of bullshit diaries, frothy with hatred for Democrats who didn't support Obama with all their heart and soul and mind, as my old Catechism teacher would have phrased it.
It was especially sad to see the front page waving false flags (kos asserting that someone had tried to make Obama look more black!) at a time when all should have been joyous. I had to stop reading this site so that I could vote for him happily! You-- his loudest fans -- made me ashamed of supporting him. I didn't want to be one of you.
So . . . on the flip I have a question.
How do you see yourselves these days? Who are you, DK? What do you bring that no one else has?
