Due to the recent drop in expectations for 4th Quarter fundraising for Gephardt, Lieberman,Edwards and Kerry, I have decided to revise my matching funds projections over at
Fester's Place.
I am assuming that Wesley Clark will be raising the same amount of money, $12,000,000 for the 4th quarter, and for the year he will still be owed slightly more than 8 million in matching funds. Gephardt and Lieberman are projected to raise $3 million for the quarter. I am projecting that Edwards will be raising $1.5 million dollars.
These changes costs Gephardt very little in matching funds while both Lieberman and Edwards would see a $600K and $500K drop in matching funds cash respectively.
What effects do these changes have on campaign strategy?
