We all know that Rush Limbaugh will do practically anything for ratings and money, and for a short time, Oxycontin. This latest ploy for attention is more reprehensible than I thought even he could get. Alas, I was wrong. I understand he feels the need to demean any and everything The Obama Administration wants to do, however using Ted Kennedy's brain cancer to do it is just beyond the pale.
Rush Limbaugh in an attempt to put down the attempt by the new administration to provide much needed universal healthcare, or at least health care for as many people as posible, sticks his piggish foot into his even piggier mouth in a horrible way.
He didn't need to take the road he took. Ted kennedy is suffering, and instead of simply living out the rest of his life as peaceful as possible, which he is very well able to do, He is still trying to get healthcare for every American.
There will be many things named after Ted Kennedy, and perhaps Universal Healthcare may be one, however Rush Limbaugh uses his brain cancer, and the fact that we don't know how long he will be with us, in a mean-spirited, ugly, vicious way.
I would think, given the struggles Rush obviously has with his weight, and I can certainly hear his arteries crying out everytime I see him, he wouldn't talk so quickly about someone else's demise, or even allude to it. He is most certainly a heart attack waiting to happen. I don't think there will be much support from the GOP in denouncing this latest piece of filth, although there are those crying out for Michael "Aluminum Foil" Steele to denounce Rush(Ha!):
The Democratic campaign arm has also launched a petition, asking Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele to denounce Rush Limbaugh "once and for all" in light of his latest comments.
Democrats are already speaking out against this latest Rushism:
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Executive Director Brian Wolff released a statement in response:
"Rush Limbaugh's reprehensible remark that, ' before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill' is truly outrageous.
"Leader Limbaugh minimizes the struggle of hardworking Americans without access to affordable health care and demonizes a patriotic Senator who has spent his life fighting so that every person has the opportunity to live the American dream.
"Leader Limbaugh crossed the line. National Republicans must stand up to their leader, Rush Limbaugh, and tell him that enough is enough."
I wonder how long it will take for a Republican with balls to do the same, or if ever one will do it.
Time and time again we are shown that money doesn't buy happiness, because Rush Limbaugh appears to be the saddest, loneliest, angriest toad I've ever seen.
