The far right corporate powers have been spending millions organizing astro-turf "tea parties" for tomorrow all over the country. They are trying to capitalize on the Boston Tea Party, which was a protest against corporate tax cuts for the East India company. It was a protest FOR protectionism. The irony of that is so powerful it actually compells me to take some action. They have spent millions in PR getting these events as much publicity as possible. Lets take advantage of that and turn the tables on them.

I think we should capitalize on all the media they are going to get by showing up at these events and showing them what REAL populist anger looks like. We can hijack their event to send our message.
All you have to do is go to their corporate funded website, taxdayteaparty.com, find a protest in your area and show up tomorrow with signs that reflect the reality of the populist anger in America and especially Michigan right now. Remember to bring a videocamera if you have one!
Some suggestions for signs you should bring:
"I support President Obama!"
"Universal healthcare NOW"
"Single Payer Healthcare NOW"
"I support my SOCIALIST Police and Fire departments."
"Break up the Banks!"
"Enforce our Anti-Trust laws!"
"The Boston Tea Party was about Protectionism!"
"I Support Employee Free choice!"
Those are just a few ideas. I am sure you can think of plenty more of your own. The idea here is just to stand up to these corporate shills like Eric Odom who think all Americans are stupid and easily manipulated. If enough of us feel this way and take some action tomorrow, we can make this backfire on them. At the very least we "muddy the waters" so to speak and blunt the effect they will have.
