Larry Kudlow over at NRO has discovered the key to a GOP comeback. He knows who can lead Republicans back to power. Indeed, just as the GOP's fortunes seem to sink further every day, Mr. Kudlow has had a stroke of genius, and none to soon.
Is it Rush Limbaugh? Bobby Jindal? John McCain? Sarah Palin?
Follow him over the cliff for the answer....
As for those 4 conservatives, the answer is no, no, no and no.
Kudlow:
Strange as it may seem, the best GOP spokesman right now appears to be former Vice President Dick Cheney. He has taken the Obama administration to task over its declassification of CIA torture memos. He says Team Obama has made America less safe. He’s right. Perhaps he can rally the party?
Yes, Dick Cheney stands for everything Republican! His final approval ratingbefore he left office - a stellar 13% - makes him the perfect man to lead the GOP into their future. Why, with that kind of popularity, there's really no other choice but Cheney.
Of course, given the back-and-forth dialogue over at NRO's Corner, you can imagine how much flak Kudlow received for his bold choice. The always brilliant Jonah Goldberg blasted away:
Yesterday, while I was travelling, the subject of ukuleles came up in the Corner. I am honor bound to use this opportunity to post what may be the best ukulele playing ever.
Oh, wait, I meant to post the stinging retort by Mark Krikorian:
Knowing nothing about epidemiology, I guess this sounds sensible to me.
Whoops again.
Apparently the overwhelming logic of Kudlow's choice has stunned all at NRO into awed silence.
