And one really loud mantra of the past administration, was go on with your lives. Go out and spend. Buy stuff. So the builders built and the bankers lent and businesses continued to invest around the world, finding ways to cut costs in cheaper to operate atmospheres outside of the US. They siphoned off US jobs and lowered US pay, and the builders kept building their houses and the bankers kept lending credit to fill in the pay gap of the inhabitants of this nation, and we kept buying stuff. Why did we go out and buy so much stuff to keep us busy? Creating the illusion, and placating ourselves with an idea that, times really are different. We didn’t have to work so hard and long to live the good life. We could have it all right now. We bought this, because they sold it to us.
Buy, is what they told us to do. Buy is what we did. What kind of advice was that from our government? Why would they tell us to do that? Why did congress sit idly by, and let that last government work in secret? Secrets that ultimately broke a nation. Didn’t we have a better education?
Why did this all make sense?
I don’t want to stay mired in the confusion of a government trying to deal with this avalanche of wrong, previously dammed up for seven years, now released on our heads. I don’t want to be fed this diet of uncovered secrets and lies. This whole nation was responsible for letting it happen, because of some sort of psychoses we suffered after 9-11. I’ll take my portion of responsibility as we all should. Everybody can’t go to jail. So I beg that we move forward from this nightmare.
Ex vice president Dick Cheney, is still out there, with a desire to challenge the president. The fact that he is so blatantly still around and given forums in which to speak, is a testament to the power of this man, who was the unknown president for the previous eight years. I applaud George Bush, so far, for not fanning the fire. Sometimes I feel a sort of remorse for the guy who is George W. Bush. Now we get to see how overbearing and pompous Mr. Cheney has always been.
No one ever voted for Cheney. He never fought for anything or campaigned for anything. He knew the right people and he was placed it seems to me, in all of his positions, because of who he knew. The larger populace did not know him, yet he got to become the ‘president’. How dare he think he is someone he never was. Isn’t there anybody out there to challenge him with the fact that he really doesn’t get to do this.
In a country riddled with problems of momentous, gigantic proportions, trying to heal itself, this man thinks he gets to impede progress. People in right places, are once again letting him. I don’t like Cheney. If I ever got a chance to know him before he became vice president, I would not have voted for the man, that would propel him to become acting ‘president’. (For clarification I didn’t vote for George W. Bush.). But in 2000, who knew who to vote for? But if people knew Cheney would be ‘president’, I bet they would not have voted for Bush.
Dick Cheney does not love or care for America. Dick Cheney only cares for and loves power. Dick Cheney want s to rule the world with his vision. Dick Cheney is a nuisance par excellence. Now a headline reads Dick Cheney Plans Dueling Speech. He challenges our president to a duel? Dick Cheney wants this country to go into a civil war. Dick Cheney wants to destroy America. His wants are bigger than our wants. His wants are bigger than having a stable America. In fact, an unstable America, would secure a legacy and good name for Dick Cheney somewhere in the future.
He must think.
But Dick’s an ass.
