Margaret Flowers, MD, Physicians for a National Health Program, one of the 8 arrested on Tuesday, joins the 1st hour of Thursday's Ed Schultz show to discuss a national single-payer health care system.
Dr Flowers was one of the 8 arrested on Tuesday in the protest at the Senate Finance Committee hearing. More below the foldT
National Nurses Movement wrote a great diary on the protests, arrests, and the Max Baucus-lead hearings on Tuesday.
Ed Schultz will have Dr Flowers on in the first hour of his MSNBC show (6PM-7PM Eastern) today.
Ed pays a lot of attention to his email. Apparently he's been getting a lot of email about single payer and he's been all over it on his TV and radio shows for the last couple of days. He says that he won't let it go.
I know that Ed isn't always the most articulate of spokesmen, but what he lacks in finesse, he makes up for in passion.
If we keep on him, we'll have at least one voice with a national cable audience stumping for single payer. The email link above is to his MSNBC web page with an email form on it.
I know this is short, but the show starts in less than 2 hours, so I wanted to get the word out.
