It's unbelievable the evidence being thrown around by anonymous blog commenters allegedly proving that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stole the elections that just took place in Iran.
Look. I think he stole them. But that thought comes from my heart. I have a hunch that a man who denies the holocaust and his ayatollah buddies are capable of anything. But moronic evil Presidents have won elections, even in United States of America (See Kerry vs. Bush, 2004). So I keep my hunch to myself.
"A poll conducted by John Doe in early June showed Ahmedinejad's rival ahead!" some say."
But they say nothing about who owns the polling firm (is it owned by exiles? independent experts? radical Ahmadinejad buddies? We have no idea.
Someone in Democraticunderground.com told me to go see this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/... and see that "every major poll" out there has Mousavi up. However:
- Those polls are all over the place, citing different winners, and
- The wikipedia link says, "The opinion polls in Iran have been considered unreliable."
Separetely, a graph is widely circulating the internet supposedly proving that Ahmedinejad stole the elections; yet progressive expert Nate Silver says this graph is unreliable.

Let's wait. Let's gather data and opinion from experts. Let's not reach conclusions based on pre-election polls we know nothing of. Let's ignore blanket claims by blog members who use nicknames instead of real names and who have no background in statistics or election work.
Yes, Ahmedinejad is ugly and mean, but that's another story.
