I remember a sunny day walking on the beach while I was quitting smoking. A sister of a friend of mine was getting married; the friend was planning her wedding shower. And that's all she would talk about. My sister's shower,... my sister's wedding.... my sister's shower....
I was dipping my feet in the waves, and she came up to me.
Finally, I couldn't take it anymore! I simply said, I'm quitting smoking, and I can't listen to this right now.

She wasn't happy. However, I decided to take care of myself. I would learn to deal with this person's annoying behavior, without harming myself with a cigarette.
That's one of the most amazing benefits from quitting. One learns that rather hiding one's feelings behind a cloud of smoke, a different action, or even a decision not to act can be of greater benefit. We learn, when we quit, how capable we are of taking care of little things (jammed printers; a late bus or train) and more complicated stresses (like an annoying coworker, a bad grade or even a job loss) WITHOUT resorting to smoking.
After all, a cigarette won't solve any of those issues. People who don't smoke cope with all sorts of things too. YOU can do it without.
So, don't give yourself excuses to going back. If something is bothering you, remember -- this too, shall pass.
Just as does every single craving will pass -- almost always within 4 - 6 minutes.
