Well, I posted an incredibly short (my shortest ever) diary on the sad passing of David Carradine. Then saw where, much to my embarrassment, it was diaried a while ago. Was going to delete.
Now, rather than just have the comments all go, I'll add the Rest in Peace wishes to Koko Taylor, as well. I've got a "Koko Taylor Live!" album (remember albums!?) somewhere. I suppose we shouldn't wish her "peace", but, rather, raucous, loud, driving, hot fun.
Back to David Carradine. Kind of grew up with this guy. "Caine". You know, people still say (often hokily now) "Grasshopper" and "take the pebble from my hand". O.K., he wasn't in those shots.
He was fantastic in "Kill Bill" (I and especially II).

I'm in Very Southeast Alabama right now. 7 miles from the Florida line. Dothan's the closest town from me (~18 miles away). The pond is up (lots of rain lately). The blueberry bush has just started to make. In less than 3 weeks the Slocomb Tomato Festival (2007 article) will come 'round again. When I was in 11th grade my bushel of bell peppers won the Blue Ribbon at the Festival. Call me Farmer BenGoshi. I'm quite proud of that Blue Ribbon.
And, y'all?
