Orly Taitz, the lawyer/real estate agent/speaker of five languages/conspiracy theorist wingnut has reared her ugly head, and hilarious name, yet again. This time she's actually managed to get a major in the U.S. Army to file a lawsuit, and refuse to deploy to Afghanistan. I'd feel sorry for Major Cook, if he wasn't such a complete and utter tool.
Cook’s lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for his client.
Yes, because being a wingnut conspiracy theorist is the same as being a pacifist. Same exact thing, except for wingnut conspiracy theorists' tendency to fetishize violence. Of course, he does have his share of supporters rooting for him, from all the usual suspects, who are incapable of reading anything other than crappy webboards and chain emails. But in the end, it looks like he'll be lucky if he escapes this with his commission in tact.
There is also the small matter of Orly Taitz Esq. inciting mutiny on her blog.
Important
An officer has contacted me a few days ago (I will not provide his name), stating that he is about to be deployed to Afghanistan on July the 15th from Fort Benning. We were supposed to file an injunction, a stay of the deployment of this officer to Afghanistan until the eligibility of of Barack Hussein Obama as Commander in Chief is verified. The documents were supposed to be filed in the middle district of Georgia today. Due to personal reasons this officer cannot be the plaintiff at the moment, however all the pleadings in the case are ready to go. If you know any enlisted or officers, who are ready to be deployed, but want to stay their deployment until Obama’s legitimacy for the posittion of Commander in Chief is verified, please have them contact me. As the case is ready, it can be filed within hours.
Inciting mutiny, and encouraging people who don't want to deploy to use this birther bullshit as an excuse to stay home (Or more likely, in the brig.) Is perfectly acceptable, patriotic behavior. Protesting a war, or criticizing a Republican on the other hand, is of course high treason. Makes perfect sense.
