After yesterday's rain came today's rain ... but the rain ended and blue sky appeared and an opportunity arose to spend quality time with butterflies ...

Butterflies are one of those amazing things which only Nature could create. Humankind creativity is so limited that if such an astonishing creature did not exist the humans could not create such a creature even within the confined of the human imagination.
I know that it is a common presumption of human exceptionalism to claim ...
that the human imagination is infinite, limitless and capable of attaining any goal that humans might ever imagine. To those people who make such a claim I can only say one thing ...
Human exceptionalism is pure bunk.
I'm not impressed by what humankind has accomplished. I am even less impressed by what humankind wants to accomplish. I look at this world and conclude that humankind has horrendously wasted the last 10,000 years on a wild goose chase leading to a dead end, that dead end being extinction not merely for itself but for thousands of other species.
Humans actually spend their time thinking about a very small number of things and humans think about these things in the worst possible manner. I spend my time on this planet marvelling at this woefully misguided animal and wondering:
Who ever told humankind that the Homo sapiens are an intelligent species?
If it is true that humans are an intelligent animal the rest of the animals ought to spend all of their time thanking God for their lack of human intelligence. Intelligence seems like a perpetual curse for humankind and it is therefore easy to understand why so many billions of humans spend so much time doing everything within their power to avoid thinking.
If there was a cure for what ails humankind it would have appeared already. If a cure were to appear now it would have appeared too late.
