And they burned the house down.
- Dollhouse Episode 13, "Epitaph One"
Makes me think of right wing "talk" radio and right wing journalism and right wing blogs.
I really, really don't think that these "entertainers" have a clue as to what they are doing.
In their ignorance and quest for money and respect and love and acceptance (of a kind) the Fat Man and Hannity and Beck and Palinites and Newtmen and rehabilitate Nixon 'wingers are lighting matches with no thought as to the consequences.
If they read history they might realize that the people who start revolutions (ours was an exception) rarely end up on top in the end. Stabschef Ernst Röhm could hardly have realized that his own movement would find him inconvenient. Trotsky could hardly have expected to be exiled from the USSR.
If The Fat Man and his lackeys were indeed able to help set up some kind of, "Conservative Paradise", how long would it be before they were inconvenient?
The Conservatives are so riddled with superstitious morons, people who can accept paradoxes without even realizing what they are, power-hungry religious hacks, tax cheats, liars and hangars-on I'm surprised their party has lasted as long as it has, but hatred is a great unifier. I think that if they had everything their way it would not be long before they were eating each other.
However... I don't think they'll be getting their own way. They'll be angry little children throwing tantrums, they may even get people hurt, but I don't think they'll get what they want. Call it a premonition.
By the way, got banned by a local right wing blog for calling the blog author on his Birther leanings. Yaay me!

Word to Dana, Don't waste your time trying to comment on this blog again. I realize you have a serious mental illness for which you are being treated, but I don't have the patience or the desire to see your ups and downs on this blog. Stick to the Daily Kos. There's plenty of your type over there.
Advance Indiana lost it a few months ago.

People where I grew up know my family. They know who my parents are, and they know where I was born and raised. Nobody can vouch for Obama. My teachers remember me as do my fellow students. He's a complete mystery man. I'm not famous, but I can produce dozens of people who will recall going to college with me at EIU and dozens more who knew me in law school. Try finding people who knew Obama at Cccidental, Columbia or Harvard and can talk about him. They don't exist. Doesn't any normal person find that a little strange? George Stephanopolous went to Columbia at the same time as Obama and has no recollection of him. The only people who knew him were his Muslim roommate friends and he has barred them from speaking to the media. Why?
I think they are all being programmed to lose it. The signal's gone wireless. Conservatism can infect anyone now. Question is, where is the programming going? What is it evolving into?
