We all know that the right wing talking point about death panels in health care reform is bullshit, but why is nobody talking about the real death panels?
They exist, in private insurance companies. The guys that sit around the table and pour over your medical history to find pre-existing conditions, or the slightest mistake on your forms, or loopholes in your contract to put a limit on your coverage or jack up your premiums so you can't afford it. They are very real, and their decisions do determine whether people live or die. I refer you to the following:
Hell the private insurance companies don't just have death panels, they have death panels that send out hitmen:
Oh the death panels ARE REAL, and they DO MAKE decisions about whether you live or die based on your economic value to their system. These are the guys who routinely "pull the plug on Grandma"
This is the response we should be hearing from the White House, from the real reformists, from any group buying commercial airtime to pressure the bluedogs, hell maybe even in Republican areas. This is a classic case of right wing projection, it's their system that has the death panels, and the bluedogs are just as much a part of it. This is how you win this war, fight fire with fire and expose the real truth! Everytime they come out with a new horrible lie about reform, hold up the mirror and show everyone that it's their goddamn system that is doing these things!
