I was proud to see the Presidents plane to land in Phoenix at the airport from my window overlooking south mountain.
I was happy to hear that he like most Americans would get to see one of the wonders of the world with his children and enjoy the 105 degree weather that we call home.
It was a relief to see the DEMOCRATS out man the TEA BAGGERS, on the street in the wests most western state..
Even though the signs thay held read... were similar.
The Democrats who were better than 3 to 1 in attendance held signs that readt .. MEDICARE FOR ALL.........A SHOVEL READY PROJECT
Makes Sense to me.. It's allready available, It could be revamped to solve the crisis we are facing as a public option, and we have it in place.
WHAT A CONCEPT
But what about all those Arizonans who showed up with guns as the motorcade passed.... Damn, that is legal in Arizona.
The President flew in and spoke about the health care debate in Phoenix AZ,. Then visited the Grand Canyon and cooled down as we like to say in Arizona.
Cooling down is going north in the summer. Getting into the 80, 90 degree weather outside and enjoying the sun at the Grand Canyon, or Flagstaff where there is actually a breeze going on in August. And 80-90 degree temps feel pretty nice in comparison with the flatland.
He brought his family which is a welcomed site for a man dedicated to getting his work done, changing opinion, and this shows he is reallyt interested in all Americans.Even those, still represented by John McCain.
He was greeted by those that want the change he ran on.
The opportunity to have a health care system that takes care of them like AUSTRIA's.
People that are looking for positive change, however keeping the freedoms that they still enjoy here in Arizona and the west.
Like the right to carry concealed weapons, and openly carry weapons as represented by the black gentleman that was at corner as the Presidents motorcade passed, the black gentelman carrying a AR15 simply asserted his rights as an AMERICAN, and an ARIZONAN.
A young man identified only as "Chris" was seen walking around the Phoenix Convention Center at the time that President Obama arrived there to give a speech. "Chris" was carrying an assault rifle and a pistol. When asked why he was carrying weapons, he replied: "Because I can do it. In Arizona, I still have some freedoms."

Yes, Arizona is a right to carry state, and a state that has laws that are still in force. It's not un common to go to a resturaunt or a furniture store and see someone with a weapon.... It's Leagal. It's the law and we enjoy the benefits of less car hijacking, less truck hijacking, and more women carry concealed in Arizona, preventing rapes and problems..... who knows what she has in her purse.
But here we have someone with poor judgement in my opinion.
I disgree, as a gun owner, of carrying a weapon like an AR15 to protest for or against a President. It is stupid, and it is not something I would ever do.
The amazing fact is that as a Democrat, I have to agree with this man's rights as an American and an Arizonan.
The other amazing story out of Phoenix is the fact that the MEDICARE option when available to all people, regardless of age, preexisting condition or income is supported by all age groups and people.... except those in the INSURANCE INDUSTRY
The signs along the route OBAMA travelled were PRO Medicare for ALL! Many read A shovel Ready project!
So what do we do.... Remeber we have a congress representing big interests, not us. We have a President that wants what is best for the people, he is a statesman, not a politician.
This President wants what is best for the people. You can tell how he thinks by his actions, thoughts and statements.
Is the medicare option viable? And keep in mind that President Obama reads Daily KOS.
