I want an Edward M. Kennedy Moument/Memorial on D.C.
This diary intends to spark initial movement for such.
It is uncontested that Ted Kennedy had a gargantuan impact upon the course of the American experiment. Few in American history have had impact in measure as his.
Despite his varied shortcomings - and which American leader lacked them? - I want a National Edward M. Kennedy Monument/Memorial in D.C.
On it I envision his inscripted words
The cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.
These words should be memorialized and thereby immortalized. Their meaning is beyond rich and say so very much about not only Ted Kennedy, the Kennedy family and their legacy, but the very state and hoped-for future of the American experiment.
Days seem dark, at times, as now. But through such memorial on D.C. a great statement would speak volumes to all Americans and our posterity.
What say you?
