President Obama will address the nation’s youth in a September 8 address to classrooms.
The Teaching Ambassadors Fellows detachment of the U.S. Department of Education is organizing this important message to youth from our President and recommends that teachers have students record their thoughts on Obama’s directive to youth on sticky notes, while younger children can draw pictures or write as appropriate.
The objective plan for the classroom address to all the nation’s youth cites the goals of President Obama’s address, including:
What is the President trying to tell me?
What is the President asking me to do?
What new ideas and actions is the President challenging me to think about?
Teaching Ambassadors Fellows recommends that teachers debrief after the President’s directive to ensure that youth are clear on their orders from our leader.
Let us all come together to support this important day and our President’s directive to our youth.
