Amazingly, ASTOUNDINGLY, Joe "Old Yeller" Wilson posted a video on YouTube last night trying to raise money from his childish outburst during the President's address to Congress. In his words:
"On these issues, I will not be muzzled. I will speak up, and speak loudly against this risky plan. The supporters of the government takeover of healthcare, and the liberals who want to give health care to illegals, are using my opposition as an excuse to distract from the critical questions being raised by this poorly-conceived plan. They want to silence anyone who speaks out against it. They made it clear they want to defeat me and pass the plan."
He then goes on to beg for money from like-minded TeaBaggers.
He's right about one thing: we sure do want to defeat him. It's time to shut down petulant GOP boors like Wilson. Join your fellow progressives and throw him an anchor by contributing to Rob Miller, his challenger in 2010.
This is a phenomenal opportunity to get the 2010 campaign started with a clarion shot across the bow. As of last night, Rob had raised a whopping $600,000 in just 24 hours. Let's make it a million. What better message to send to the party that still thinks they can win by flogging racism, intolerance, and mendacity without consequences?
These crybabies want to throw tantrums? Let's give them a pacifier.
