Full disclosure:I voted for Obama and will vote for him again. Both me and my girlfriend have his back 150% this isn't any form of "Anti-Obama" propaganda.
And here's the latest controversy that is sure to cause all kinds of craziness. Apparently the video was filmed in New Jersey in June of this year. I got it as a link from a friend through email this morning. I immediately went gosh this looks like something Drudge would put up and sure enough it's there.
First off, it's illegal to film children without their parents consent.Second, I find it really really weird that all of the sudden this video just pops up out of nowhere. With this being said, I would have probably been a bit pissed if my kid was singing about Bush. So, I can understand why some parents would be a bit miffed.. BUT, if you notice in the background it looks like George Washington is up on the screen. For all we know they were singing a huge ass song about every President. Still, something smells awfully fishy and I'm pretty sure this time it isn't Michelle Bachmann.
Here's what I just found after I published the diary from the district itself. Makes alot more sense now!!
Dear Burlington Township Families:
Today we became aware of a video that was placed on the internet which has been reported in the media. The video is of a class of students singing a song about President Obama. The activity took place during Black History Month in 2009, which is recognized each February to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country. Our curriculum studies, honors and recognizes those who serve our country. The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me or Dr. King, Principal of B. Bernice Young School, directly.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher M. Manno,
Superintendent of Schools
