I made a couple posts at DailyKos. I waited a while for the time to pass, so they couldn't be hidden through troll ratings. Then after making it known I had made the posts, they disappeared. They were in response to a Larisa Alexandrovna entry on a Keith Olbermann diary. Here's the catch which proves the deletions had nothing to do with any community moderated system. Larisa's entry is gone. I think it was decided that her post was so ridiculous and merely spam advertising for her boring blog, that it was also scrubbed. Here is her post and mine which followed.
I believe that there are disinfo forces on the internet who are built to fail rather quickly. Examples of those would be Rense and Tom Flocco. On the other hand, there are disinfo providers such as BradBlog and Larisa who are built for the long haul. While it could be argued that they are deliberate strawmen with the intention of making the internet and progressives look idiotic, I believe that they want it to appear that this is not a deliberate undertaking. I think they want folks to think they are misguided or in over their heads or simply ambitious people who don't know how to keep themselves honest.
The newest incarnation of their tabloid approach can be seen with the Sibel Edmonds story. When Sibel, or Libel as TLNL calls her, became a regular at BradBlog, I was taken aback. Here was a woman who seemed to be an enigma but one with some gravitas. I wondered why she would go to BradBlog. Well, at that point I simply figured that perhaps due to censorship, she was unaware of the credibility issues. I found it strange that she ended up doing a deposition concerning an "election integrity" topic. Yet, I had nowhere to go with these questions. But then this recent interview she did with the ex-CIA dude came out and it tells me that she is part and parcel of internet convolution. There are a myriad of factual errors in it. BradBlog by chance didn't notice them. When confronted by a level-headed poster at DU, he replied that those were legitimate questions that needed to be looked into. He only responded because he couldn't ignore it. When questions arise about Brett Kimberlin, however, he has his attack dog Larisa run interference. He finds a way to make many posts at DU, but nowhere has he ever made any disclosures about Brett's past or of how they truly hooked up nor of how much of an impact the Speedway Bomber had on turning his no-name blogging status into what it is today. A very important question that needs to be answered is how much money Velvet Revolution has raked in over the years from gullible New Agers. Yet, Brad never has to answer this question, because I am the only one asking it, and my posts get deleted.
The following is from his most recent journal. This is from the deleted subthread.
Then Brad's pitbull showed up. I saw a lot of irony in her statements. She said I am likely to commit a terrorist act, yet she's the one who has lied about the Speedway Bomber being an exhonerated domestic terrorist. She also gloated about my cyberstalker revealing my personal information. Yet, according to that creep, it was Brad who gave him the info.
Then Brad showed up. The guy is scared of the truth emerging. He made a whining post at BradBlog the other day about the need for substantial donations. I think a lot of people have figured out that he has been milking them for money. I think he is fearful that the more people put two and two together about Velvet Revolution and its historical ability to raise substantial funds, that it will become clear that Brad may have already amassed a small fortune through his "work" with Brett Kimberlin.
I was able to leave one more post closer to the top of the thread concerning the sincerity of Brad's newfound interest in tackling the inconsistencies in Sibel's recent interview. When I went to the thread this morning, all of this was gone. Please keep in mind that Democratic Underground hasn't usually deleted someone's posts as much as they do mine. In the past, they have surely banned zombies, but they usually kept the stuff visible. When I first entered the scene as Prepostericity, I went to the DU election integrity forum and started a thread called Brett Kimberlin Exposed. The thing was quite popular. It had nearly 100 posts and 5000 views. Most threads in that section are lucky to have 10 posts and a few hundred views. But I started to make too much sense about too many things, to the point in which Joseph Lauria told Mark Singer that I had become a player as Prepostericity. Mark told me Joseph wanted to talk with me, and we did for a couple hours. I have asked Mark to cover this story, but people need to realise how much damage Kimberlin did to Mark as a human being. Not only were Doonesbury and many others taken in by the con artist, but Mark's jounalistic integrity took a serious hit. But once Mark went on to research Kimberlin for his book Citizen K, all bets were off. Mark not only corrected his past failures, he set the record straight after four years of extensive research. My take is that Mark doesn't want to go back to what was a grueling period in his career. I don't blame him. I wish he'd change his mind and expose Kimberlin yet again, but it is his life and his decisions. As for Joseph Lauria, I don't know quite what to make of him. He told me I was off-base in wondering about Madsen's true intentions. I also don't exactly buy Lauria's idea that a story on internet disinformation is not a topic that newspapers will touch. I could really use a Joseph Lauria type reporter to help me out. That he has left me out to dry, when he knows exactly what is going on, makes me scratch my noggin.
