I don't see how there is any room left for debate on this. Mohamed El Baradei, the head of the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog, has stated that Iran was suppose to have notified them when they decided to be construction of the once-secretive facility at Qom.
Like I said, Scott Ritter is wrong.
Speaking to CNN-IBN, Mr. El Baradei stated "Iran was supposed to inform us on the day it was decided to construct the facility. They have not done that,". Any claim that the Islamic Republic didn't have to inform the IAEA until the site became operational is false. Mr. El Baradei simplified his comments by stating that Iran is "on the wrong side of the law".
I wrote last weekend about how the Islamic Republic lied and why they should not be defended. I wrote about how bogus the claim was that Iran had "come clean" by notifying the IAEA. And yes, I have debated far more than I expected about when Iran was suppose to notify the IAEA about the site. Now that the IAEA has offered crystal-clear clarification to the question of when Iran was suppose to notify them, can we stop debating when Iran was suppose to notify them?
Khamanei, Ahmadinejad, and their fellow fundamentalist-thugs lied to the whole world with as little shame as when they lied to their own people. Don't defend them.
