Short Diary. I am always amazed at how corporate media routinely blurts out "facts" that even the most uninformed would understand to be ridiculous. Check out this sentence from a Time Magazine article discussing the Obama education "speech":
"When Barack Obama won Florida last November — the first Democrat to take the Sunshine State since FDR — many saw it as a sign of centrist GOP Governor Charlie Crist's moderating influence."

Hello!? Can we get a fact checker here awake from some pre-holiday bbq-moonshine fest over at Time? How bout results from the 1948, 1964, 1976 and 1996 presidential elections in the "Sunshine State" I stopped researching after that. Maybe this is some kind of propaganda following some subtle meme about Charlie Crist the omnipotent or the impossibility that Al Gore won Florida in 2000. Who knows. All I know is that this is why I don't read Time and haven't since I was about eleven years old.
