"Many of the syllabuses taught to students majoring in humanities are not in line with Iranian and Islamic culture and therefore their revision is a must," Ayatollahi said in a statement published by Iranian news agencies.
A committee has been established to "eliminate certain curricula and replace them with Islamic materials," he said.

Early in April, the Texas School Board voted on textbook language that condemns global warming as a proven fact. A chapter on “environmental systems” in a grade-school textbook will be affected. According to The Examiner, “the Board of Education voted to change existing state science standards to include the phrase ‘analyze and evaluate different views on the existence of global warming.’”

The Theocon Neocons want a war with Iran not because Iran is "a threat", but because Iran is competition for the crazy religious nutjob consumer. Information about the Bible MANDATORY in Texas curricula? Fine. Make sure that the mandatory info includes the ok from god to kill every man, woman and child in the cities you conquer, the ok to get drunk and sleep with your daughters, and the ok to burn witches, kill gays, sell your daughters and own slaves.
Just 'sayin.
PS - Don't forget to boo Bill Nye the Science Guy if you are a true Texas believer!
The Emmy-winning scientist angered a few audience members when he criticized literal interpretation of the biblical verse Genesis 1:16, which reads: “God made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.”
He pointed out that the sun, the “greater light,” is but one of countless stars and that the “lesser light” is the moon, which really is not a light at all, rather a reflector of light.
A number of audience members left the room at that point, visibly angered by what some perceived as irreverence.
“We believe in a God!” exclaimed one woman as she left the room with three young children.
