You may not be from New York, but in any sober assessment of the Senate it is obvious that any Blue State Senator has to do the work for an underrepresented populous.
As a citizen of New York I am content with Chuck Schumer's advocacy. He has many qualities that can be criticized, but all things considered, he can handle the responsibility and he fights a relatively good fight.
Gillibrand on the other hand, is incapable of rising to the occasion. She may be a really nice person, but she doesn't have the stomach for the magnitude of the job that Senator from New York carries with it.
Harold Ford is... Well, you've got to be kidding me that this guy is even still being seriously considered. Methinks it is only because the unmitigated need to replace Gillibrand keeps everyone looking at him, hoping he'll unzip his suit of pandering smarminess and reveal Mario Cuomo or something.
Ideally I'd like Anthony Weiner to step up to the big leagues, but it seems party decorum won't allow it.
So I'm going with this guy, Jonathan Tasini, who I know almost nothing about, because his website is more impressive than the total actions and charisma of Gillibrand and Ford combined.
