Many of us love fun games involving words, and when I saw these I just knew I had to share them:
Did you know that "polish" is the only word that changes meaning – and pronunciation – when the first letter is capitalized?
And "eat" is the only word that, if you take the 1st letter and move it to the last, then spells its own past tense: "ate".
The rule of "I before E except after C, or when sounded like A as in neighbor and weigh" does not apply in the word WEIRD. Weird, huh?
SWIMS, when viewed upside down ... is still SWIMS.
And did you know that the words "race car" spelled backwards still spells "race car"? And more for you palindrome lovers (well, "kayak" is too easy): A man, a plan, a canal – Panama!
And if you write the phrase "Republicans just love embracing Teabaggers from the so-called Tea Party movement" on a sheet of paper and hold it upside down in front of a mirror, it then reads: "Republicans are hate-mongering, racist, stone-hearted, hypocritical, greedy, self-absorbed a$$holes who ran our country into the ground under Bush."
Wow! How weird is that?
