And I hope you do, too, if you can.

Please consider contributing to Boxer if you're for electing "better Dems"--and if by "better Dems," you mean more progressive ones, ones who will take firm economic and social progressive stands as opposed to the conservadems who have weakened the Democratic majority and worked against the goals of progressive Dems as much as Republicans have.
Boxer is about as progressive as Democrats can get these days, and it's disturbing to think that we may lose her voice in the Senate, getting Carly Fiorina's instead.

This year, Californians have the best opportunity we have ever had to fire Barbara Boxer and replace her with a true fiscal and social conservative. Throughout her life, Carly Fiorina has demonstrated principled leadership, and she will take that leadership experience to Washington to fight for us in the U.S. Senate.
Carly Is Pro-Life
Carly believes that life begins at conception; she is pro-life. She earned an "A" rating from the National Right to Life Committee and has been backed by the Committee’s California affiliate, the California Pro-Life Council. Carly has also earned the endorsement of the Susan B. Anthony List, a national pro-life political action committee.
Carly Supports the Second Amendment
Carly is a strong proponent of protecting Americans’ Second Amendment rights. Carly believes the rights outlined in the Second Amendment are a critical part of our country’s founding principles and that it is the responsibility of our leaders in Sacramento and in Washington to uphold and defend these fundamental rights.
Carly Believes Marriage is Between a Man and A Woman
Carly believes marriage is between a man and a woman, and she supported California’s Proposition 8.
In other words, in her "additional issues," Carly makes it clear to the talk-radio GOP crowd that she's all about being "right" on God, Guns, and Gays.
She cannot be any more different from Barbara Boxer. I know we progressives are dispirited these days, but taking a moment to send a donation to a progressive who is in the fight of her career against a bazillionaire, GOPer who caters to wingnuts feels good. It's a nice antidote to the we-don't-really-have-a-party blahs. And it's needed. Sitting by and watching a progressive like Boxer bite the dust is not going to convince anyone that there is much desire for progressive representation in DC.
Please give what you can. Let's not lose Boxer and see a Senator Fiorina in her place in the Senate. This would be disastrous not just for Californians but for all Americans--even those who are misguided enough to believe the GOP/tea party propaganda.
Thanks for reading....And if you can't afford to give, that's totally understandable in this economy. In that case, it would be helpful if you just spread the word (and the link to Boxer's contribution page) among your friends.
