Even last night, when it became clear that Brown was going to win, Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele defended and confirmed his recent remarks that Republicans wouldn't take over the House in 2010. As you may recall from his recent Hannity! interview, Steele doesn't know if Republicans are even ready to lead.
Inspired by this bizarre honesty from the RNC Chairman, and especially in the wake of the Massachusetts setback, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party commissioned a rapid response ad from us to remind us of the stakes, and inspire us to fight.

Some Republicans think the tide has turned their way. They are wrong. Many of us are frustrated (to say the least) that things haven't progressed as quickly as we'd hoped. There is indeed plenty of blame to go around for this. But we are still the good guys. We can't allow ourselves to forget that, not when our only chance at change is to keep fighting -- fighting the enemy, not fellow Democrats.
All of us were depressed and angry last night. Most of us are just as angry today. We can either let that anger further divide us, or we can choose to channel that energy into fighting the forces who want to drag us back into the far greater hell of Republican rule.
I choose to fight.
