Thanks to my appearance on Mike Malloy on friday and a whole lot of awesome people, we are 55% of our way to the $3,000 goal towards the Courage and Consequence vinyl/digital download record and culture jam. Meaning we are over half way towards ruining Karl Rove's special day by messing with his memoir release of the same name.
We need your help! We are 6 days from the deadline for this. And we need 67 more copies to be pre-ordered to hit our goal. I LOATHE asking for money, but in this case the support you provide will have an IMMEDIATE results towards messing with Karl Rove ala: Going Rouge: An American Nightmare.
More information below (as well as my appearance on Mike Malloy)
For more information you can check out Project: Courage and Consequence on youtube, go to http://www.karlrovebook.net.
The response to this project has been overwhelming...
from the rock and roll world.
Weirdly, almost 100% of the support for this record getting made has come from broke and/or unemployed rock and roll / creative people.
This honestly has really surprised me since I imagined this would be the kind of thing the blogs would go nuts for.
Unfortunately, no matter how much I might have been a regular contributer on Dailykos, mydd, openleft, etc. There's a lot of "what have you done for me lately?" and the amount of information being thrown out right now and things taking our attention. Well it's understandable.
In any case:
Here is my appearence on Mike Malloy:
It's $20 for a pre-order for this compilation, you can donate less, you can donate more, but $20 gets you a copy of the comp. It helps bum out Karl Rove, and lest we forget, he is still very much active in shaping todays debate:
http://twitter.com/...
Latest Tweet: Obama's default position to treat terrorists as criminal defendants needs to be reversed.
Oh really Karl?
Does it now?
Help us mess with this guy, please!
every dollar helps.
