MSNBC is claiming that David Shuster went too far in his analysts of the Watergate/Pimp Bandit
MSNBC says one of its anchors, David Shuster, went too far in criticizing conservative filmmaker James O'Keefe for his alleged attempt to tamper with Senator Mary Landrieu's phones.
"@JamesOKeefeIII a) you are not a journalist b) the truth is you intended to tap her phones c) it's a felony d) you will go to prison," Shuster tweeted Tuesday night.
I'm sorry did I miss something here... How was David Shuster wrong? ... And the bigger question is how is Joe Scarborough ever right? Why was it necessary to point The Shuster out by name but when it came to Scarborough calling Keith Olbermann out by name "a colleague", a memo gets passed around about rules and protocol, not a call out of Scarborough but a memo of rules.... Is MSNBC’s new rule, when you are a Republican you get protection, but when you are Democrat you get called out. And the same can be said of their coverage.
Here are just a few patterns I’ve noticed... Let me know if I’m wrong or that there is more blatant evidence of this type of unfair political affiliations discrimination going on here.....
• During the primaries your station as well as many others ran the Rev. Wright Story over and over again...but when it came to dealing with John McCain pastor problems how much time did you dedicate to that story.....
• Senator Reid made an in artful comment about President Obama and how long did your station run with this story , especially Morning Joe ("Scarborough" who appeared to be outrage and offended until he and the Republican realized that they would have to talk about their own civil rights record..) .....But when Scarborough and Capehart made comments about the Darkness of Barack Obama skin after a McCain-Obama debate where were the rebukes of Scarborough and Capehart?
• When the controversy about Barack Obama and the flag, palling around with terrorist and any negative story you could creat about Obama being unpatriotic how long did you run with that story, but when Giuliani forgets 911, it’s a one day story
• And so back to my original beef, MSNBC as well as many others ran with the Acorn story which was edited and distorted for sensationalism (a fact that apparently got lost in the headlines).... But MSNBC ran with this story for how many weeks without giving it the dramatic correction that they gave to the original story? but calling out the Illegal Taping of a United States Senator’s phone is somehow an inappropriate tweet.... WOW...
In all seriousness, I can't honestly believe that some top person at MSNBC would find what Shuster said inappropriate... Quite frankly, I find MSNBC's treatment of The Shuster to be inappropriate... You removed him from the 3/6 pm hour and replaced him with Ed the Intellectual Incompetent Shultz, who only appears to be good at yelling which shouldn’t be a substitution for debating or analytical dialogue.
Come on MSNBC, for the last couple of weeks we’ve barely recognized you.
Is the Comcast Purchase a reflection of things to come...? Between Scarborough’s personal push of the Republican Harold Helicopter Ford for New York Senator;
Andrea Mitchell doting all over Scott Brown in her personal attempt to assist Republicans in obstructing Healthcare (who did she think she was actually fooling);
Chris Matthews becoming Chairman of the Scott Brown Presidential Campaign;
And Chuck Todd and his slanted he never knows what he is talking about coverage (if it weren’t for Savannah Guthrie, Daily Roundup wouldn’t be worth watching)
Is it just me or is there a pattern going on here? I’m just asking?
