I was just exposed to the most amazing energy. The name of the person who taught me this is Howard Wills. During a lecture that he gave, he said:
"Forgive everything, no matter what."
I found this to be some of the best advice I've ever received. It's not easy to implement, and it doesn't imply that you should forget, but not carrying around anger is wonderful, and I highly recommend it.
Follow me below the fold as I explain what I mean.
I thought a lot about the administration before this, and what unmitigated, amoral, sell-outs they were. In a just world, these people would be killed 1000 times over slowly and painfully.
Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Even though the rule of law applies to us ordinary citizens, the present administration has chosen to overlook these war crimes, the looting of our treasury, the selling of our industries to foreign countries, the killing of far too many people on all sides, the pandering to the military-industrial complex, the grooming of right wing idiots, and other very serious crimes too numerous to mention.
These crimes are serious, and they are real. We are finding out how real they are. And we have every right to be upset. We have every right to ask to see these people's heads on pikes. These are people I will not name, first of all because you all know their names perfectly well, and secondly because they do not deserve to be remembered. As they used to say back in ancient Egypt "let their names be struck from the monuments, left their names be forgotten".
Unfortunately, these people need to be remembered. And the people of their party who now claim to be some kind of moral majority, those same people who were silent while the above-mentioned crimes were committed, need to be slapped down, and slapped down hard.
That is why I am really working hard to get out the vote. Because I want to slap these a******s really hard and make them crawl back into their holes for a very long time.
I never want to forget what the criminals who brought us to the edge of this cliff have done. I really think that they should be prosecuted, and I fault the present administration for letting them off the hook.
But for my own good, I do not want to live with the bitterness that they have caused, and so I forgive everything, no matter what. It's not easy, and I have to do it over and over again, but I will not carry that karmic burden. And so I forgive the chimp and his enablers.
But I will never forget what they have done to my country. And because I will not forget, I will do my best to get out the vote. I will hold my nose as I vote for Democrats who were too cowardly to go against these Nazis, these so-called Democrats who voted for the two disastrous wars that have enriched nobody but the military-industrial complex and helped to drive this country to the brink, and who have enabled the turning of the American dream into a nightmare for many, under the banner of "laissez-faire capitalism".
And in a way, it's easier to forgive the chimp than it is to forget the people in my own party who enabled these disastrous policies, these totally useless, bloody wars that are beggaring the nation, that are enabling countries like China to build modern infrastructure, high-speed trains, and alternative energy grids while we pour all our money into a country that does not wish to come into the modern world no matter how much money we pour into it.
Forgive, but never forget, and don't let the idiots get you down or sap your energy. Get out the vote.
Thank you.
