After a former girlfriend of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas came forth with allegations that supported Anita Hill's stories of sexual harassment, Thomas's wife, Ginny, admitted that the message she left for Hill on October 9 really wasn't supposed to be a request for an apology. Faced with former girlfriend Lillian McEwen's statements that the Justice was obsessed with pornography and female co-workers' physical attributes, Ginny Thomas admitted that she really wanted to ask if Hill would be into a "threesome", but lost her nerve and asked for the apology instead.
Mrs. Thomas continued, "Clarence has never held any animosity towards Miss Hill, even after his confirmation hearings. He has told me many times how hot he thought she was, and that he had always harbored the suspicion that, during the hearings, when Miss Hill was describing how he asked how a pubic hair got onto his soda can, they "had a moment".
