At 5pm EST Friday 22nd October 2010 WikiLeaks released the largest classified military leak in history. The 391,832 reports ('The Iraq War Logs'), document the war and occupation in Iraq, from 1st January 2004 to 31st December 2009 (except for the months of May 2004 and March 2009) as told by soldiers in the United States Army. Each is a 'SIGACT' or Significant Action in the war. They detail events as seen and heard by the US military troops on the ground in Iraq and are the first real glimpse into the secret history of the war that the United States government has been privy to throughout.
The reports detail 109,032 deaths in Iraq, comprised of 66,081 'civilians'; 23,984 'enemy' (those labeled as insurgents); 15,196 'host nation' (Iraqi government forces) and 3,771 'friendly' (coalition forces). The majority of the deaths (66,000, over 60%) of these are civilian deaths. That is 31 civilians dying every day during the six year period. For comparison, the 'Afghan War Diaries', previously released by WikiLeaks, covering the same period, detail the deaths of some 20,000 people. Iraq during the same period, was five times as lethal with equivallent population size.

These are the most current articles on the net that are not really talked about on Main Stream Media. But this article is not to only point out how Main Stream Media continues to ignore the torture claims. But the lack of Barack Obama administration to call of a criminal investigation on the Bush and Cheney administration. This blog is not just about Main Stream Media, Criminal Investigation on the Bush and Cheney Administration, but it is also to point out different news media that continue to divert the reality of the war.
For example the Assange Interview with CNN reporter which asked about more personal information on Assange than to actually ask questions about the crimes being committed in Iraq.
Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Walks Out of CNN Interview
When Main Stream Media continues to lie or divert attention to the truth. It's our responsiblity to inform the public about the truth. From where ever it might be occuring. Our responsiblity is to inform the public on all over the web to continue to describe the current war of information that is going on. Main Stream Media is losing the battle on all fronts from TV broadcasters like CNN, FOX, MSNBC and others to even Giant News Papers like New York Times, Daily News and others. The influence of the web is far greater than all of these institutions. There are no corporate monopolies controlling the net as of yet. We have to be the vanguards and protectorate of the freedom of information over the web. The main stream media agenda is to make government clamp down on the net. It is our duty to protect it from the on going onslaught of the main stream media bring attention to how the web can be harmful. Or trying to point out that some web blogs are notorious like FOX did with DailyKos. We have to be vigilant and up at arms. The main stream media are crusading to minipulate our elected officials to enact more regulatory laws over the web. We need to inform others that we are not the criminals here. That our main stream media continues to divert the public attention to the realities of the on going war. To the realities of the on going propaganda machines and corporate funded propaganda tools.
