The Sestak campaign plans to start distributing some new lit this weekend, the last weekend, of course, before election day. If this doesn't illustrate the difference for you between Joe Sestak and Pat Toomey, nothing will!
Over the fold for ways you can help --- as you know, today is the last day to really help campaigns financially before the election --- make it count by donating $1, $5, $10, $500 now (and help get this series to its 50-contributors goal; we're at 40 as I type.
The campaign calls this the "Scorecard" and if anything, it's only more damning than the iteration used against Arlen Specter.
I'm really not going to add much commentary other than to say that this is the most effective campaign lit I've seen - clear, concise, and (other than the groups picked to display) spin-free.
This race is all-in, on both sides, and the avalanche of polls isn't making anyone feel easy about the outcomes. To quote the Delaware County Times:
Wait. Now Toomey’s ahead by eight points. No, hold on. Six points. Seven. Oops, looks like it’s neck and neck again.
You want this race. Well in these last few days, it comes down to who wants it more. I'm thinking we do, but here's what we've got to do. Help make sure Sestak can continue to keep the momentum on his side in the home stretch.
- Donate We made it to 50 contributors for this series - thank you! (But don't let that stop you if you haven't yet donated! Now is the time!)
- Canvass --- getting out the vote is critical. You can also go to their contact us page
- Call - they have a Virtual Phone Bank, so you can make calls from anywhere! (h/t angel65)
- Send email (link takes you to the earlier diary that contains a template) or call or talk in person with those you know in Pennsylvania about this race.
- Go to go.joesestak.com (GoJoe for short) create an account, and look for ways to get involved.
- And, if you are in Pennsylvania, plan to vote, and bring as many people with you as possible.
Previous diaries in the series can be found here.
Because I've got a Halloween party to plan, and plan to be using all my spare time for GOTV work between now and the election, and Sestak finally made it onto the Orange to Blue page, this may be the last diary in the Support Sestak series. Thanks for reading and recommending and all your hard work to put this one over the top, and hopefully there'll be good news to post about on Wednesday!
UPDATE: Wow! I go away for a couple hours to finish a neighborhood lit drop here in Pgh (this was my 3rd time to that turf, actually - things go slower when you've got a toddler with you) to find my diary on the rec list! Thanks! And GO JOE!
UPDATE THE SECOND: And, you made the goal for the series - 52 people have contributed! (But don't let that stop you if you haven't yet donated! Now is the time!) You can still donate here or through O2B O2B
