It's been an eye-opening week when it comes to the Palin family. We read the homophobic rants of young Willow Palin and now we can see the apple did not fall far from the tree. In Sarah Palin's latest book, "America By Heart", she pulls the race card high and in plain sight in her direct slam of First Lady Michelle Obama.
Certainly his wife expressed this view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections. In retrospect, I guess this shouldn't surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church listening to his rants against America and white people.
And in case there was any doubting her intentions, she erases them with her attack on Attorney General Eric Holder.
It also makes sense, then, that the man President Obama made his attorney general, Eric Holder, would call us a "nation of cowards" for failing to come to grips with what he described as the persistence of racism.
We saw this kind of thing during the 2008 campaign, but at least her attacks her veiled. Now, the veil is off and she is following the lead of her Tea Party friends and going directly after the Obamas in a way that should make them proud.
