In her upcoming new book America by Heart (Having "America" mentioned in every titles of your books doesn't necessary make you a real patriot) , Sarah Palin is taking another cheap shot at the First Lady, Michelle. Employing Glenn Beck's playbook, Mrs Palin is basically calling Michelle Obama a racist who has a deep seated hatred for "White America". I guess she hates so much White America that she married a bi-racial man who was raised by his white grandparents. I guess she hates so much White America that she loved her husband's late white grandmother as if she was her own grandmother.
In the passages leaked obtained by the Huffington Post, Sarah Palin, former half-term governor of Alaska, slams President Barack Obama who, according to her, "seems to believe" that "America -- at least America as it currently exists -- is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country."
My question to Sarah Palin, is America a just and equal country as we speak ? Is having a 10% umemployment rate just and equal country ? When Republicans block the extension of unemployment benefits, is it just and equal ?
Then she goes after First Lady Michelle Obama :
Certainly his wife expressed this view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections.
You lied, Sarah. Before starting smearing people, you should first read the entire quote of Michelle Obama. Here what she said in Madison, Wisconsin:
What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback. And let me tell you something--for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction, and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I've seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it's made me proud.
Maybe Michelle Obama used some poor choice of words, but any intelligent person would understand what she meant to say. Even Former First Lady Laura Bush came to Michelle Obama's defense back in 2008. Later during the campaign, Michelle Obama clarified what she was trying to say :
For the first time in my lifetime, I am seeing people rolling up their sleeves in way that I haven't seen and really trying to figure this out, and that's the source of pride I was talking about.
Of course, back then, in an attempt to portray Michelle Obama as this Angry Black Woman, MSM never showed the entire speech preferring to focus on a quote put out of context.
Sarah Palin goes on by bringing Reverend Wright controversy one more time, as if people would care :
In retrospect, I guess this shouldn't surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church listening to his rants against America and white people.
Yeah, Sarah, bring Reverend Wright up again. Stop living in 2008, for God sake. You lost. Nobody cared about Reverend Wright, and nobody will care about him today. That said according to Gallup, Reverend has a higher favorability rating than Rush Limbaugh. For normal folks, the Reverend Wright
Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, were so proud of being Americans that they were member of the Alaskan Independent Party until 2004. As Governor, Sarah Palin was the key speaker at AIP's Convention.
It's very pathetic on Sarah Palin's part to go after First Lady Michelle Obama by smearing her, when Michelle Obama has been nothing but gracious to her. When she appeared on Jay Leno, days before the election, Leno asked her a question about Palin's famous $150,000 wardrobe, Michelle Obama defended Sarah Palin and her daughter, Bristol, who was pregnant back then. Michelle Obama told Leno that it was unfair to attack Palin for a wardrobe that the RNC chose to buy.
Sarah Palin also went after Attorney General Eric Holder, using, again, racial overtones :
It also makes sense, then, that the man President Obama made his attorney general, Eric Holder, would call us a "nation of cowards" for failing to come to grips with what he described as the persistence of racism.
As we speak, no word on if Sarah Palin, in her upcoming, asks where is President Barack Obama's long form birth certificate.
Earth to Sarah Palin : Michelle Obama has a 67% approval ratings, America loves her. And America is laughing at you, Sarah. Not with you. Attacking the First Lady will lead you nowhere. MSM tried to take cheap shots at Michelle Obama because of her vacations in Spain, this summer, yet she still remains more popular than ever in Americans' hearts.
