Good morning. The shop is open.
This is where we help Kossaks fix their houses and the many things within that make them home. We share our home improvement projects and some people think we perform useful service. An ad hoc cadre of construction professionals and gifted amateurs is often on hand to offer their help and we are nice to people.
So my week was about firewood and the new greenhouse. The fallen cottonwood down in the pasture was finally cut up and hauled in three truckloads. Along with two loads of juniper mix I bought from my neighbor, I have all of next year's fuel in, enough for the two households here. Might even be more than two year's worth, depending on what we get for a winter here this year.
Wood is the prime source of heating fuel in this rural high desert community; a huge pile of firewood is a common sight.
So, it's showtime. I'll see you in the thread.
