To all my friends and family: I love you! I thank you! You are the most incredible people, and collectively, the most generous generation. Some might call us Gen-Xers; Milleniums; BabyBoomers. Close, but it's clear now. We ARE the Most Generous Generation (MGG).
I know some of you and your families are struggling. Many of you are concerned about our future and frankly a bit afraid. It's a crazy time. Yet in these conditions of challenge and uncertainty, in a few weeks, we will give millionaires and billionaires about $116,666.67 per person in tax breaks on average. We will give the rich more, much more!
That is some serious generosity! I mean, how would you feel is someone gave you such a gift?
You've likely heard of the Greatest Generation. Most of these American heroes are in their 80s today. They survived the Great Depression and the ravages of WWII. Their sacrifice was awesome. We owe them a great deal.
Yet you, me - all of us - well, we've struggled for years. We've sought HOPE and CHANGE. Those ideals seem illusive now.
In spite of our concerns, our generosity overwhelms me ... shout to the highest heavens: to America's millionaires, billionaires and associated accountants, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Blessed Eid to you - all $116,666.67.
The Most Generous Generation salutes you!
