I got a newsletter from Scott Brown, who is unfortunately one of my senators, last Friday. I have reproduced the text of the entire thing in a quote box below the fold. (No, I'm not worried about excess quoting of something sent me via email.)
In another post I referred to him as Senator Stupidhead. He hasn't done anything of note in almost a year. This newsletter is the best he can come up with? Compare this drivel with the useful newsletters I get from Bernie Sanders--and he isn't even my senator.
This guy is like a lot of Republicans. He just isn't serious about participating in the hard work of government. He's having a good time, votes the way they tell him to, and screw the constituents.
The people he meets with, and the legislation he's submitted, are about at the level of a fourth-grade civics lesson. He's pathetic.
The local wisdom, such as it is, is that the 2010 election repudiated Brown in Massachusetts. He had no influence on statewide or Congressional elections in the Commonwealth. I just hope we get a good candidate (hello, Mike Capuano?) in 2012 to get rid of him.

Welcome to my first E-Newsletter
Friends,
In an effort to keep you informed as to what I'm working on in Washington, I'd like to send you periodic updates. If you're reading this, then you've been kind enough to contact me in the past. This is my way of keeping the dialogue going. With your permission, I'd like to keep doing this as Congress votes on legislation. If you would like to be removed from this list, please hit "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of this newsletter. If this was forwarded to you, and you'd like to receive updates, click here.
Answering Your Questions
As part of my efforts to hear from everyone, I've done something no other Senator has done: I'm asking constituents to post their own video questions and send them to me (click the video above). I'm going to be answering as many of them as I can, and will continue to do so during my time in Washington. You can ask me any question you like, just remember to include your name and where you're from when you send them to me. We want to be able to give credit for the best ones! As I note in the video, I'll also be posting them on my official site, for you to share with family and friends, and hope you will pass this on to those family and friends so they may submit their own.
Hearing from You: Surveys and More
As part of my e-newsletters and bulletins, I'll be asking for your input on various issues; input that will help me make decisions in the Senate. In addition to voicing concerns via my contact page and Facebook, you can take a survey, below:

Working in Washington
Since I was sworn in on February 4, 2010, I’ve met with over 1,000 constituents and business leaders; responded to over 140,000 letters, emails and faxes; and assisted over 1,700 constituents cut through government red tape.
Of the many people I've had the pleasure of meeting, some recent folks include Boston College Alumni, Sarah Tucker of One.org, the Boston College Hockey team, a delegation from the National Youth Leadership Conference, and even Bill Walton, the former Celtics great. To look through a gallery of people I've met with, and to see if your photo is up there, please visit the Constituent Photo Gallery.
