Hello
It didn't take the media long to start produce obituaries for the Obama presidency. Politico's experts explained this morning that the president is completely "isolated" heading to 2012.
....
You will have to find the link yourselves - my apology - but in a nutshell it goes something like this:
Everybody in Washington hates Obama.
No, not the GOP, obviously that's a given, but you can add Congressional Dems, who resent him for making them take tough votes and therefore they blame him for losing the House. Also, add Democrats lobbyists - they hates him because he wasn't nice to them. The business community hates him because he is anti-business Socialist, and the media? Oh well. For the latest example, go watch the entire 70 Minutes of yesterday's '60 Minutes', and compare them to the 15 minutes they actually aired and their editing - Republicans wet dream.
And yet, over the week following the election, president Obama's Gallup numbers went UP from 43% to 47%. OOOOPS.
...While the increase in Obama's job approval rating since the election is small in absolute terms, the fact that it is up at all after his party's major congressional and gubernatorial losses is notable. According to Gallup trends, former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush saw their job approval ratings decline after their parties' midterm election losses in 1994 and 2006, respectively.
Support for Obama in the first week in November among various demographic and political subgroups is very much in line with where it was during October. He receives widespread approval from blacks (88% approve) and Democrats (81%) as well as majority support from Hispanics (63%), adults aged 18 to 29 (54%), and those living in low-income households (53%). By 49% to 41%, he also receives higher support from women than men.
So i guess not everybody hates him. Beside, Michelle loves him, and his daughters, and Bo. OH, And India. India loves him very much. They probably love Michelle even more.
The Obamas ended three intense days in India and tomorrow will move to Indonesia, where the president can finally rejoin his Muslim terrorists brothers. On Wednesday he'll make a speech at the University Of Indonesia. Expect Right Wing Partayyyyy!
Anyway, here's all what you didn't see in the news here, because why would you. It's not like they really cover the president of the United States. They just want entertainment. Who cares that the relationship between the US and India went to a whole new level this week and the implications are enormous. India is far. Palin can't see India from her porch.
