There is momemtum building for the repeal of DADT.
The House has passed the stand alone bill for repeal. Will the Senate take it up?
Who ever knows with the Senate but as of this morning there are 60 votes for the repeal of DADT in the Senate now that Scott Brown has come on board.

Update #1: ABC News is reporting that Murkowski is now on board as well.
Update #2: Barney Frank said on Sirius radio this morning that there are 62 votes in the Senate for repeal.

Update #3: If this does pass in the end, WE ALL MUST GIVE SENATOR LIEBERMAN HIS PROPS for fighting for this to the very end.
Here is what Scott Brown has said this morning:
"Sen. Brown accepts the Pentagon’s recommendation to repeal the policy after proper preparations have been completed. If and when a clean repeal bill comes up for a vote, he will support it," said Brown spokesperson Gail Gitcho.
Currently there are 47 Senators signatures for the stand alone bill for the repeal of DADT. There are 58 Democratic Senators minus Manchin who is a NO (as of this moment) there are 57 votes for repeal. Add in Collins who is a co-sponsor for the bill, Snowe who pledged her support for repeal, and now Scott Brown, we have reached the magic number of 60 votes for the stand alone bill of DADT repeal. There are other potential Senators for this bill including Voinovich, Murkowski, Lugar, etc but the good news is that we have reached 60 without those votes.
Now really it is about getting the bill onto the Senate floor. Kyl, DeMint, etc are doing everything in their power to run out the clock so who knows with the Senate.
It is all up to Reid to just bring the bill to the damn floor before the Senate ends the lame duck session.
Here is what Barney Frank said this morning:
The Senate has at least 62 votes to repeal the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) said Thursday morning.
"I have to give Joe Lieberman credit. We were told, Steny Hoyer was told by the Senate leadership, and particularly by Senator Lieberman -- Senator Collins and I will give her credit too, she has been good on this from our standpoint -- that if we passed it as a separate bill that would help," Frank said on the Sirius XM Satellite Radio show "POTUS." "There are at least 62 senators -- more than the 60 that is needed under that outrageous filibuster rule,
There is still hope....
