This is my last diary/comment and the end of my active participation on dailykos. Unfortunately, this site has gone the way of all the rest, which is really too bad.
I know--"big whoop", says the crowd who is now the majority here, and maybe pretty much all that's left. Now, you can continue to just echo one another, including the front-pagers, as you mount your unbeatable primary challenge against "the worst president ever" who happens to also have such a terrible character as well (according to all of the "left-wing opinion-makers"). Oh, he's so "weak"!--you all proclaim in unison at the top of your lungs, and repeatedly, and incessantly, just in case anyone misses such an obvious point, or (gasp!) disagrees with that assessment of our president. A president that has done more for progress in the space of less than two years than any president in at least a generation. I really wish that, just for once, this place would actually go through all of the bills that have passed, both large and small, many of which would never have even been initiated by a republican president and/or congress, or would have been vetoed by a republican president; or, go through each and every positive action this president and his administration has taken within his power (the executive branch of government); or, just look at the example he has set just by simply trying to be a fine, upstanding person and honorable human being. Or, here's an idea!--mount a real movement and get people in congress that will pass exactly what you want and get it to the president's desk! This is a president that won't veto it! I would like, just for once, for people to remember what the choice was and consider the alternative--John "let's study the study" McCain, who can't even stand for anything anymore, let alone would have done a tenth of the positive things President Obama has done for this country. I would like for all of you, looking down your noses at the president, calling him obscene names, describing his character in the most vicious and demeaning ways you can think of, complaining about nothing ever being good enough no matter what he does/does not do or says/does not say, sitting on your high horses never having to legislate (which is compromise in and of itself!) or make tough decisions/calls or lead the nation through multiple crises while also trying to make a better long-term future for the country--I would like for any of you--any of you at all to run yourself, and get yourself elected president (let alone as a black man in this country!), and put yourself in his shoes, under these circumstances, and get even the inklingest of things accomplished that this man has! And, then come talk to me about who's "weak" and who's "strong"!
