Ok, I'm just so sick of our party. I was just informed that the average insurance premium increase in my area is about 33% because "of costs related to the new government health insurance requirements".
I was told that I should be happy with ONLY a 25% increase in my monthly premium.
Why weren't there limitations on how much premiums could be increased? Why isn't there a low cost single payer option? Why are health insurance companies allowed to do this?
More after the jump...
Now, I'm lucky enough that I think I can absorb a 25% increase in my monthly insurance costs...but I will have less 'left over' to spend 'on the economy'.
I am just so sick and tired of health insurance companies and banks being given the red carpet kiss-ass treatment by 'our guys' and the rethugs.
It's no wonder our economy is going down the toilet.
Oh, and while I'm ranting, if Obama caves on extending the tax cuts for the wealthy, I'm not just going to 'not vote' for him...I'm going to actively work against his re-election.
He is a total disappointment to me, on so many levels. I didn't think it was possible I could be more disappointed, and then he surprises me, and lowers the bar even more.
Pathetic.
These kinds of things are perfect examples of why I didn't vote this year.
